The EURLSSG held a workshop together with the IRLSSG 2006, to develop an operational definition for the clinical identification of RLS augmentation.

Genetics

The EU-RLS-Gene group led by J. WInkelmann has published several new genetic findings and state-of-the-art papers in RLS.
More EU-RLS-Gene projects on RLS and PLM are underway.

Diagnosis and treatment in primary care

The EURLSSG has developed algorithms for the diagnosis and treatment of RLS in primary care. The e-version of the diagnostic algorithm can be consulted at the menu on the right-hand "RLS Algorithm".

This algorithm is based on independent consensus meetings that were funded through unrestricted educational grants from Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH and UCB Pharma.

Epidemiology

The EURLSSG with the support of the IRLSSG promoted a workshop in 2007 on the methods to assess RLS in population-based studies.
